Band Practice
It’s going to be almost a year that I have a band. A friend and I had decided to create one at school so that we could have fun doing what we liked. We got people who could play different instruments, and there we were. Latetly, a new member had joined the band, a French girl. I was already having problems with Chloe who kept saying she sang bad, and that she couldn’t play and blabla, just so she discouraged herself. Now that there is this new girl, Amelie, which is my friend, and that sings better than her, things have gotten worse.
Now, I can’t stay close to Amelie, I can’t stay close to Naemi, I can’t stay close to anyone without her butting in and talking to me and taking me away from my friends. This doesn’t only happen to me, Amelie can’t stay alone with a nother friend, it had to be with her. Her own sister, Naemi cannot even talk to her friends. Chloe comes up to her group of friends, grabs them by the arm, and leaves with them, and the worse is that she doesn’t even know them.
She had always been a problem, I guess she has a few social problems, no one can have other friends than her. Today has been the worse, the moment when my patience flew out. She started crying, yelling, calling Amelie and I names, for a completly stupid reason and I just couldn’t take it anymore. I answered back and Amelia did the same. We tried to stop her from crying and exagerating but she wouldn’t listen she would cry and cry and cry. She apparently couldn’t sing well, she couldn’t play well, everyone was better than her, her mom said she played and sand bad, Amelie and I were mean, would not understand her, we yelled at her, we wouldn’t let her sing the song she wanted when she always made efforts for us and we always sang songs that we liked…
We had found a nice solution that worked and was fine with everyone, even with her. So than we started singing as we should and she just stopped. So Amelie asked her what was wrong and Chloe started crying and yelled, but really yell hystrically, that she would quit, that she was mad, that she hated everything. We had found a solution, but well, we were happy and she didn’t want that or at least that’s what it seems like, and she had to get crazy about everything…
Well, I’m not getting into details, but she has a few social problems, and Amelie and I can’t always be there to tell her that no, she sings well, and no we love her, and no she’s the best… I suppose all of you get what I mean, but because of her, Amelie and I always get yelled at by our parents, and we just can’t stand her anymore. Our patience has limits and if it passes those, than we can’t do it anymore.
well, well u just get use to it, or why don’t u leave the band?

If I leave the band it will stop and everyone will miss me. If chloe leaves the band no one will miss her and the band won’t stop.

Ur mean. On that one chloe’s right. But i don’t agree with anything else. And u know what?? Give up on trying to make her always feel good about herself. If she is determined to be good, and if she has a personality of her own she doesn’t need anyone to say that shes good. If she has her self-esteem high she shouldn’t be putting herself down. And also, sometimes i think that she only puts herself down to hear the opposite from who she thinks is her friend. And then… once she doesn’t hear what she would have liked to, as if people always have to say what she likes to hear, she freaks out.
That’s not behaviour i would call very normal. I don’t know about the antosocial part though cuz i haven’t seen it…
What is Chloe right with???? and she is definetely antisocial. it’s not only with me or amelie she is like that. she can’t make friends, she doesn’t know how too, but she needs them. And she keeps insulting herself so that we say the opposite u know like of course ur don’t sing bad, u sing better than us and blablabla… she needs a psychologist.
Yep… Now i agree, she is in desperate need of a psy. Let’s indicate Raquel, or Fernanda. They will be wonderful help, Raquel talking baleieies and Fernanda saying she is hungry.
I was referring to chloe being right when she said, during band, that u were mean. And don’t try to deny it cuz u know it’s true…
I wasn’t mean! I was definetly not mean. If I had been mean she would have cried much more. I almost said nothing. I was having trouble controlling myself and not yelling back at her!
Fine i belive u. U were supposed to identify the sarcasm in my comment. I know what would have happened ir u were mean… I think I’ve seen it before.
And now, absolutely no sarcasm. The psychologists might help her, she is too easily influenced. Even they can do the job.
I guess so, if she’s in a desperate case, than probably. Anything can help her.

Yeah, well it’s all the truth, i can’t do anything about it.
I wished it could be different but it isn’t so I’ll have to get accustomed to that.
Dear..aww how i miss saying dear to u and u hated it.. heheh
u have to solve this and sit down and talk. because ur band will break up and if u created a band to make music and have fun u have to remeber that, and to do that you have to solve this problem, not with harsh words. and i sound like a pschyologust but anyway, i can be a judge and the court with be msn.
god…my spelling sucks so much!!!
I’ve already tried the sit down and talk thing. It does not work. And, I just got a knew person in our band, she is now officially useless.

Wow that was an awesome blog, i love music and if someone is like stoppin’me from playing i would get mad…really i feel sorry for Chloe but she should not have been all pessimistic about her singing…but you were good to calm her…
